At Medical Web, we are HIPAA compliant in handling your information. We transmit your personally identifiable information and your responses to our medical diagnostic tool over a secure, encrypted Internet connection directly to our licensed medical staff. Additionally, we have invested heavily in a secure online communication environment, so that all communication between you and the doctor is done via a secure Internet connection and not through an email system. Unlike many sites that provide healthcare online, we do not transmit your confidential information via e-mail to our doctors.

Because we understand the importance of confidentiality, Medical Web will never sell or share your personal information to any third-party. Emails from Medical Web are to inform you of the status of your consultation. Emails make no mention of your medical condition nor do they include any communication from your online doctor. You will be directed to your secure communication portal to retrieve all of your doctor’s messages.

Security

In addition to keeping your health information secure and confidential, we also have taken several steps to insure that your credit card information is handled properly to avoid identity theft or fraudulent use of your credit card. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is provided by VeriSign, and is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure online commerce transactions. All financial information is strictly used for health services. Under no circumstance will we share this information with any third parties. 

To provide you with an additional layer of security, all credit card numbers we receive are stored on a computer that is not connected to the Internet. When you type in your credit card information, the complete credit card number is transferred to this secure computer across a proprietary, one-way interface. This computer is not accessible by network or modem, and the number is not stored anywhere else. 

Medical Web takes your medical and financial privacy seriously. All medical and financial information given via any one of our IT platforms or in a conversation with any of our employees is held in complete confidence. We will NOT release any medical or financial information to any third parties.
